What an amazing year to wage hope to find a cure for pancreatic cancer. This year, Christina’s 5th Annual Pancreatic Cancer Fundraiser raised $16,025.

The fundraiser was once again sponsored by Major Jason E. George VFW 12114. Planning and accepting donations began in July and culminated the evening of Oct. 19. The guests who attended were treated to a complimentary dinner. Also available that evening were a 50/50 ticket drawing, door prizes and more than 55 items for the silent auction.

The members of Major Jason E. George VFW would like to extend a huge thank you to the students of Heritage Oaks School for serving the dinner, and their parents for bringing them. Also a big thanks to the student from Tehachapi High School for assisting that evening.

How amazing this community is! Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (recipient of this donation) is astonished at how generous and kindhearted the businesses and the people of this community are.

A big special thanks goes to K&R Valves for donating the cost of the dinner served. K&R Valves made it possible to add to the amount we were able to donate to PanCan.

Alex and Pat want to extend their personal thanks to all the VFW members, and to the others who graciously donated and helped. Without you, the evening would not have been possible.

Major Jason E. George VFW will issue and deliver a check in the amount of $16,025 to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
